Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How serious is my violation?
DOB classifies their most severe infractions as Class 1 and least severe as Class 3. HPD prioritizes Class C infractions more than Class A or I. For DOT, DSNY, or any other city agency, book a consultation to speak with one of our reps.
How long before the violation or summons is resolved?
This depends on the issuing agency and the type of violation. We'll review the circumstances on your booking call. After that, it typically takes 3–5 business days to process your paperwork.
What happens if my hearing Defaulted?
A Default Hearing status means the Respondent is responsible for correcting the violation and any associated fees. Don't worry — there are other solutions for timely responses and extenuating circumstances.
How do I know if my property/project is in compliance?
If you have a property or project manager, start by consulting with them about any concerns. We're here to answer specific questions — book a consultation to start the conversation.
